The new IT system is undergoing completion and is currently only accessible by SISMOS users. A gradual opening to users outside of  SISMOS is envisaged by the end of 2010.

The database has been wholly developed in OpenSource with WebGIS interface and, besides managing the whole process of research, treatment and analysis of the historical seismograms, according to the various activities of the SISMOS organisation it will also represent an important library and digital book library and historical materials relating to the history of Italian and international seismology.
